Indianapolis to Atlanta, Georgia (IND → ATL)

Atlanta is Georgia’s capital and its largest city, built on a ridge south of the Chattahoochee River in the foothills of the Appalachians, with more tree cover than any other major American city. A first visit usually runs through the Georgia Aquarium, the World of Coca-Cola and Centennial Olympic Park, the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park, and the BeltLine trail past Piedmont Park and the High Museum of Art. The airport, Hartsfield-Jackson, is 10 miles south of downtown, the world’s busiest by passengers every year since 1998 and Delta’s main hub, and a MARTA train runs from the domestic terminal into the city.

Frontier, Southwest and Delta all flew Indianapolis to Atlanta nonstop on the dates we read, and the airport’s route map lists it as year-round. Frontier had the cheapest fare by a long way: $38 round trip for a week leaving December 1, on Google Flights on October 21, 2026, and the same $38 for two weeks leaving December 1 and a week leaving December 8. Southwest’s nonstop was $118 on those dates and Delta’s $222 on the November dates we read. The $38 is the lowest fare this site has recorded on any route.
